Ban Ki Moon To The West: “You no have enough Immigrant!”

Courtesy of Breitbart:

U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki Moon has surfaced, once again to lecture the Anglosphere and the Western world about its “duties” to hurriedly absorb nearly half a million more Syrian migrants. The war-torn country’s surrounding nations, he argues, have done the heavy lifting already. Now the U.N. chief wants you and your communities to do more.

There is a misconception that all Syria’s neighbours have shrugged their shoulders towards their Muslim brethren, scorning the Ummah out of rugged self interest. It’s not strictly true. But the dichotomy presented – that it is us or them – is a false one, and one that European and American leaders should not be afraid to reject outright.

The New York Times reports that the Sec. General opened a conference in Geneva today, demanding “an exponential increase in global solidarity”, insisting that “Neighboring countries have done far more than their share” and imploring “Others [to] now step up.”

And of course the stress was on European Union member states and the United States of America to do more. The news follows quickly on the heels of Oxfam – one of the world’s most political charities – demanding that France, the United Kingdom, the United States, the Netherlands, and Denmark all take in more “refugees” and faster.

Newcastle University (Australia) Bans Use Of Titles ‘Mr’, ‘Mrs’, and ‘Miss’

Courtesy of the Daily Mail:

Australian university students have been told not to use gender-specific words such as ‘Mr’, ‘Mrs’ and ‘sportsmanlike’ with one campus going to extreme lengths to ban the use of sarcasm.

Anything with the word ‘man’ or titles including ‘Mrs’ and Miss’ are off limits at Newcastle University while students at Western Sydney University are restricted from being sarcastic, The Daily Telegraph reported.

Institute of Public Affairs research fellow Matthew Lesh said policies restricting certain words or behaviour have led to many students being accused of sexism or frowned upon for their political views.

Teachers’ Union Outlines Plan To Turn Schools In To Anti-Western, Pro-Immigration Reeducation Camps

Courtesy of the Daily Mail:

Teachers are demanding that schools stop promoting ‘fundamental British values’ over claims it could make children think other cultures are inferior.

The National Union of Teachers said telling children about the country’s democracy, law and traditions could encourage ‘cultural supremacy’ and urged a new focus on ‘international human rights’ instead[…]

Christopher Denson, an NUT representative from Coventry, said: ‘We need to fight to reject this notion of British values, to fight for notions of human values and human rights.

‘We have to stand together across communities to bring down barriers, bring down borders, to say no to Islamophobia, no to anti-Semitism, no to fascism and any form of racism.’

The motion said that migrants make a ‘huge economic, political and social contribution’ to the country and that public services and businesses would ‘face severe difficulties’ without them.

It criticised the government for only taking in a ‘minute fraction’ of refugees and vowed to campaign for ‘policies that welcome’ them to the country[…]

Christine Blower, general secretary of the NUT said: ‘Schools and teachers play a key role in welcoming migrant and refugee children and young people to this country, and supporting their progress within schools.

‘The NUT condemns the Government’s inadequate response to the current migrant situation, which has exacerbated the suffering for so many, including school-age children and young people.

‘The NUT has produced a guide to Welcoming Refugee Children to your School and has a dedicated section on its website for teaching resources which have been provided by teachers for teachers, on the issue.

‘The NUT will continue to work with Show Racism the Red Card, Hope Not Hate and others, to campaign for Government policies that welcome migrants and refugees to this country. The NUT will also continue to press for anti-racism work to be enshrined within the curriculum of all schools.’

Violent riots continued for a second night in the southern Stockholm suburb of Alby, known for its significant immigrant population, RT’s Ruptly agency reports. Protesters set fire to cars and pelted police and emergency services with rocks and pyrotechnics.

On Thursday night, police were patrolling the suburb, which is home to large Syrian and Armenian diasporas, as well as more recent Iraqi refugees, when a rock flew through the back window of their parked car.

Businesses such as Apple, Google and the NBA have come out fighting North Carolina’s new anti-LGBT legislation, which allows discrimination against people based on sexuality or gender identity.

House Bill 2, which was signed Wednesday by Governor Pat McRory, prevents non-discrimination policies protecting gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender people, and stops schools from letting transgender pupils use their preferred public bathroom.

Diversity Reeducation Now Mandatory At Mizzou University

Courtesy of Campus Reform:

Still reeling from last year’s student protests, the University of Missouri took action this week on two more diversity demands, hiring a chief diversity officer and requiring students to complete diversity-themed courses.

The College of Arts and Science at Mizzou announced Wednesday that undergraduates will now have to complete three credit-hours of “diversity intensive” (DI) courses in order to graduate, saying the courses will focus on “understanding differing social groups” and “will explore at least one form of social inequality, broadly defined.”
